FAQs

Smallcases are portfolios of stocks or ETFs, weighted intelligently to track a theme, strategy or objective. Smallcases are modern investment products that help you build a low cost, long term and diversified portfolio. Each smallcase is a professionally managed basket of stocks or ETFs that reflects a strategy, idea or theme.

For example, our ESG portfolio is a thematic portfolio that consists of the 15 mid and small-cap companies that are rated highly on ESG parameters and are potential multi-baggers.

Green Portfolio is a SEBI registered Portfolio Management Service Company and a Research Analyst. Green Portfolio was formed in 2015, and began our PMS operations in 2018. Since then, we have been one of the performing portfolio management services on a consistent basis. We offer investment advisory services for investing in Equity Markets. Green Portfolio brings quality research with accessibility and ease of use to the PMS and the retail investor.

Yes, we are SEBI registered.

We offer two types of services – PMS and Retail investment offerings through Smallcase.

Our smallcase portfolio basket consists of an average of 20 stocks. However, depending on market factors and valuation comfortability, the number of holdings in Smallcase may vary.

Under the PMS, we offer 5 products and under the retail we offer 7 products. The relevant web link for PMS and retail are as below:

The companies have been selected after proper screening and due diligence by our research team and the fund manager. We believe in the long term investment philosophy and therefore the churn rate is low. Our churn rate is 20%-25% in a year.

The rebalance is done quarterly. The client gets a prior email 7-10 days prior to the date of rebalancing. In some cases, if the company fundamentals change rapidly, we will have to push the rebalance overnight. For example, if the company becomes a target takeover company and our research suggests that the new group of promoters are unfit to run the same, we will take an exit to protect long term wealth.

We believe in buying quality and growth companies at a reasonable price that are undervalued with huge potential to grow in the future. We invest in companies having strong fundamentals, a strong balance sheet, low debt, cash-rich, resilient management and high promoter’s stake and avoid highly leveraged business.

We are disinclined towards public sector names.

Currently, we are offering 6 months and 12 months plans for our retail products. The relevant weblink for fee structure is as below:

The client needs to follow the following process: 1. Visit the relevant smallcase page
2. Reach out to us directly on call or email if you have any
3. questions before proceeding

Fill in personal details

1. Select your broker
2. Make the payment

Once the client has subscribed to the smallcase and has made the minimum investment into the portfolio. The relevant stocks will be reflected on your Demat account that very second. The timing and buying is 100% at the discretion of the investor.

At the time of making the payment, the screen will show the full amount. However, post-payment only the net amount will be deducted from the bank account. The client can also refer to the invoice which will be sent to their registered email.

We preach beginning the investment with a minimum amount and then eventually increasing the portfolio size through monthly SIPs. However, it is not mandatory to invest any amount a month.

Our investment strategy is focused on generating wealth over the long term. Hence we recommend investing INR 5 – 10 Lakh over 3-5 years to fully take advantage of the portfolio.

Subscription is an advisory fee that the company charge’s from the client. To make the investment, the client separately needs to add the funds for the minimum investment.

The client will get an email/phone notification from Smallcase for the renewal. In case the client don’t intend to renew the product, he/ she will not receive the rebalance update and other notifications from the company. However, the client will have full control on their portfolio.

The company only charge the subscription fees as an advisory fees from the clients. There are no hidden cost/ extra charge to be paid nor deducted. The other charges are related to depository charges and capital gains tax which is not in our purview.

Yes, the client can exit the portfolio anytime. There will not be any charge at the time of exit.

At the time of initial subscription, the client can opt for auto renewal or manual renewal option. Under the auto renewal, the amount for subscription will automatically get deducted from the bank account. In case of manual renewal, the client had to pay a requisite amount for the renewal and to continue the service.

Unfortunately, the client would not be able to change the broker ID in case the client has already invested. However, the client can subscribe using the new broker ID and make a fresh investment.

We frequently roll out coupon codes for existing as well as new clients.

We have multiple communication channels with the client like calls, messages, FAQs, surveys, brand pages, social media sites, newsletters, offers/ promotions. We believe in providing excellent customer service and winning customer loyalty and therefore our team is frequently in touch with the client to address their questions.

No, we are not providing you with execution services, we are providing you with the research, by creating a model portfolio and updating it on a regular basis, the execution is facilitated by the smallcase platform and your broker.

Sometimes, the auto renew feature on your subscription is set to ON, in such a case, discount coupons might not apply. Make sure that the auto renew feature is set to OFF. To do so, disable the auto-renew feature for the smallcase via the App (via the subscription tab).

The share price of a smallcase is the value of the smallcase based on the current market prices of the stocks it holds. The share price of a smallcase is typically calculated by taking the sum of the current market prices of the individual stocks in the smallcase, divided by the number of stocks in the smallcase.

The share price of a smallcase can fluctuate over time based on the performance of the individual stocks it holds, as well as market conditions and other external factors. The value of a smallcase share price can go up or down depending on these factors, and it’s important to be aware that investing in a smallcase carries the risk of potential losses as well as the possibility of gains.
