At India Infinite Fund, our Category III AIF, we back the businesses quietly building the India of tomorrow, often years before the broader market takes notice. Today, one of those companies reached a genuine milestone.
Sotefin Bharat, a company we backed at the pre-IPO stage, has officially gone public.
The problem Sotefin solves
Urban India has a stubborn, worsening problem, too many cars and too little space to park them. As cities densify and vehicle ownership grows, traditional parking simply doesn't scale. Sotefin's answer is automated, robotic car parking systems that stack and shuffle vehicles vertically or in tight footprints, letting far more cars fit into far less space than conventional parking allows. The company designs, builds, and installs these systems end to end, a full-stack approach to a problem most cities are only going to feel more acutely over time.
Why we backed Sotefin early
India Infinite Fund's thesis has always centred on identifying niche category leaders before they're obvious, businesses solving a real, structural problem with a differentiated product, backed by an experienced team and genuine technology depth, operating in a market with real room to grow. Sotefin checked each of those boxes at the pre-IPO stage. Automated parking is a category still in its early innings in India, and Sotefin's end-to-end capability, design, build, and installation, gave it a real edge in a space that will only become more relevant as Indian cities continue to densify.
What going public means
A pre-IPO investment reaching public markets is exactly the kind of outcome a fund like India Infinite is built to seek out, identifying strong, differentiated businesses early, well before public market investors have access to them, and staying invested through the company's growth into a listed entity. It's a meaningful proof point for the fund's broader approach to sourcing category leaders ahead of the curve.
Looking ahead
Congratulations to the entire Sotefin Bharat team on this milestone. We're proud to have partnered with them at an early stage, and even prouder to watch them take this next step into public markets.
